This rather smart looking rum from Ninefold distillery in the Scottish Lowlands has been aged for at least 18 months in new American oak. You can expect a delicately fruity spirit with vivid notes of vanilla, butter, white chocolate and spiced pastries. A lovely rum to drink neat or with a dash of water that likewise stands up well in classic cocktails.

    A very nice sipping rum and I will be looking forward to my next purchase once this bottle has been polished off. Tasting, a very nice mild initial spice infusion that mellows as you enjoy the taste. This rum is very good and reminds me of Mount Gay 1703 or a diplomatico. I’d strongly recommend you try this and support your U.K. distillers. As this small company develops I’ll look forward to enjoying their current and future aged products as they become available on the market.
