Macallan is known for ageing its whiskies in sherry casks and the Double Cask range, of which this 15 year old single malt is a part, explores what happens when whisky aged in two types of sherry-seasoned oak is combined. Matured in both European and American oak casks, this smooth single malt has notes of dried fruits, orange zest, melted chocolate, oak spice and honey.

    • Nose

      Dried fruit, toffee and vanilla with smooth oak and baked apple. Balanced with notes of honey and chocolate.

    • Palate

      Sweet raisin and sultana builds with hints of vanilla, wood spice and citrus.

    • Finish

      Warm with ginger turning to caramel and citrus, with a lingering and creamy mouth feel.

    I was shocked at this price as have tasted better whisky for a lot cheaper. Its a smooth drink that is nice neat or with a mixer. I dont get any smoke or bitterness. Prefer this with a pepsi

    Again, another good whiskey that lives up to its reputation. Out of my price range but well worth trying sample Very smooth & full of flavours best served neat.

    It's a nice scotch, but not worth the price if you ask me. I can get a 10-year-old Jura for a fraction of the price that is nearly identical in aroma and palate as far as I could tell.

    Had the 10yr sherry cask back in 2010. Was a wonderful flavored scotch! Enjoyed it in a special hand warned Reidel champagne glass. Purchased at wine & more in St. Pete Fla. Was under $50 back then, wow how times have changed!
