An interesting single grain whisky from Loch Lomond distillery, Spearhead is made with 100% malted barley, what makes it a single grain whisky is the type of still it is made in - a Coffey column still. Matured in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in a combination of traditional toasted oak barrels and infrared toasted barrels for six months, this whisky offers aromas of violets, brambles, blackcurrant, vanilla, caramel and dark chocolate that fill the nose. The palate holds notes of red apples, lime, vanilla fudge and brown sugar that linger in the finish.

    Really approachable scotch but with lots of flavour delivered subtly. Lots of tropical fruit and a little floral. Enjoyed both neat and in a whisky highball!

    Love this product, a seriously light and tropical whisky. Flavours of banana and coconut but when mixed with soda more apple and pear flavours come out. So tasty neat and also in a cocktail - the website has loads of good serves too. Would recommend with ginger ale!

    An easy drinking whisky that’s sweet (a few typical bourbon notes in there) and works well on its own or mixed in a cocktail. Big fan and would recommend buying!
