This whisky changed how I understand whisky. I expected a linear experience — a pleasant opening, a fade, then a familiar woody sweetness at the end. Instead, it revealed a new dimension. There was a rustic, almost earthy depth intertwined with something reminiscent of cherry wood — dry, warm, and quietly aromatic rather than sweet. What stunned me most was the mid-palate: a living, evolving presence that didn’t rush toward the finish. Then the second wave arrived — not as a punch, but as a sustained, beautifully integrated warmth that stayed in my throat for over two minutes. The flavours were impossible to isolate. They didn’t present themselves as notes, but as a single, complete expression — shocking, beautiful, and unforgettable. Like discovering a new colour you didn’t know existed. This isn’t just a whisky you taste. It’s one you remember.
