La Mauny VSOP Rum Reviews
Tasting Notes by Stuart P
Nose: Spicy dried fruits (currants), but not cloying. Fresh, with toasty oak coming through.
Palate: Lovely grip, dry and punchy, then the spicy richness follows, but wrapped in a cloak of freshness. This is a class act.
Finish: Long lasting and balanced, the wood mingling with the spice.

Nose: You can immediately see why this is called VSOP – it has the elegance of well-aged cognac, delicately spiced with toffee apples, sweet grapes and soft, ripe peach.
Taste: Oily on the palate and rich, with the soft fruit of the nose accompanied by black currants, barley sugar and a hint of smoky wood.
Finish: Long and lingering with lemon butter, spicy wood and a touch of pepper.
Comments: From the nose alone you can tell this is something special, inspired by cognac and doing credit to that inspiration.
