Product Description
To make Dalmore King Alexander III, Master Distiller Richard Paterson selected a range of differently aged malts matured in a mixture of French wine casks, Madeira drums, sherry butts, Marsala barrels, port pipes and bourbon barrels from Kentucky. A remarkable feat of blending.
This is a favourite which I enjoyed celebrating my 50th birthday – sweet, spicy and fruity, what’s not to like? Alison Howell, The Whisky Exchange

A supremely divine experience!

I'm rather disappointed. Tasted and smelled like it was Scotch was blended with baijiu. Not sure what's up. Maybe the restaurant that served it messed up but it was a rather unpleasant experience. Glad I didn't pay for it.

My favourite at these prices compared to related offerings
-
A fabulous whiskey with a very pleasant aroma that almost makes you want to just nose it instead of drinking it. Naturally, it therefore creates an absolute cascade of flavours once it hits the tongue and results in a very satisfying and warming drinking experience. The aftertaste is a grand one that leaves you wanting more each time, but you must show temperance as this isn't exactly cheap! Given the expenditure necessary to purchase a bottle, its definitely a special occasion drink and not something to have as a nightly unwinding aid. For the price, I probably won't purchase another bottle: the expense on this occasion was justified by the completion of my Masters degree with a Distinction award. However, for the same price I could buy multiple 12 or 15 year old Dalmores which are also excellent for a fraction of the cost. Nevertheless, I'm glad to have tried this scotch and I recommend it to anyone who has £185 to drop on such a luxury.
