The second edition of Macallan's Lalique series of staggeringly old Macallan in difficult-to-ignore crystal decanters. This one is entitled 'Natural Colour' and the decanter is based on a perfume bottle design by Rene Lalique dating from 1910.

I agree with Darin. I had a dram at the St. Paul Grill and found it to be very good. Not as sweet as most Macallans I''ve had. The wood spice is very prominent. I can describe it as "thick", the legs were amazing.

Was able purchase an ounce at the St Paul bar and Grill in Minnesota for $825 (with tax) Very good, some silky toffee sweetness that quickly turns into some wood spice and dried leather and aged fruit but finishes with a lot of Peat (smoke) I was surprised at how much peat there was. I have had a lot of vintage Macallan 18 to 30 year and they have very little smoke. I am not a fan of the heavy peaty whiskies but this was very good.
