Briottet Coquelicot de Nemours (Poppy) Liqueur
Product Description

High-quality poppy liqueur (no, we didn't know there was such a thing either) from French artisan producer. Apparently, poppy drops are a traditional French sweet invented in the 19th century. And don't pretend you already knew that. Unless you're French.

As for violette, poppy has a taste and a colour and have been used for centuries to make liqueurs for the wise adults and bonbons for good children. And no artificial stuff allowed...(read for ingredients at the bottom of the tag)

I thought I would try this as it sounded so unusual and I wasn't sorry. Whilst I am sure it gets its name from its colour rather than flavour (who know waht poppies taste like?), I found it quite delicious. It has a sweet, light, fruity taste and the only thing I can liken it to, is alcoholic Vimto! I love it!
