Auchentoshan 18 Year Old Reviews
Producer's Tasting Notes
The 18 year old is zesty and refreshing with deep golden summer barley appearance.
The nose is fresh tobacco leaf then sweet with a hint of caramelised sugars, green tea and toasted almonds.
At first the palate has a floral freshness with sweet barley sugar which gently ebbs to reveal a tangerine zestiness that leaves the palate alive and refreshed. It leaves a long, lingering and well balanced dram that invigorates the mouth.

Sometimes maligned unfairly! Unique and different to your Speyside or Highland, when you want something to relax to during warm evenings, distinctive, no water required, neat is lovely on the palate, citrus dominates. (PS I've been tasting for a while now so not a noob, but I think noobs malign this because it has a light body). I will be buying more :-)
Bought 2 bottles of this beaty while visiting scottland, barely touched the first bottle and i personally love this whisky. Fruity, fresh, develops nicely along with a nice finish
My favourite!!! Classy and tasty.
Nose: fruity with honey, vanilla, almonds and a bit of tobacco leaves and green tea, banana and a tad of nutmeg. Palate: fresh, clean and flowery, with honey, ginger and sweet barley. Respect! Finish: rather long with nuts, raisins and dry oak. This is pure enjoyment. This is a nice, well balanced dram with a lot of character and a great example of good Lowland whisky in general and a grand Auchentoshan in particular.
A Lowland malt that really surprised us with its smoothness and flavor.
Drink #2: We sampled this in the room of four Oregon pine wash backs. This is light, toffeed and smoother than a Bailey's-coated fireman's pole. Delicious.
