Mother Mesccia is a unique rum that revives an old tradition from the Principality of Monaco. In the 17th century, Monaco was a vibrant trade hub, importing exotic goods—including rum—from across the globe. Locals would blend these rums with European spirits such as vermouth and Marsala, creating aromatic concoctions known as “mesccia”, meaning “mixture.”

In a modern reinterpretation of this tradition, renowned rum visionary Luca Gargano crafted Mother Mesccia with a distinctive twist. The process begins with a first distillation of fresh sugarcane juice in Haiti. The base distillate is then shipped to Monaco, where it undergoes a second distillation.

The result is a fresh, vibrant, fruit-forward rum that showcases lively character and complexity—a true celebration of history and innovation.
