This single cask Caol Ila comes from the Thompson Bros and was matured for 13 years in a rejuvenated hogshead. This is quintessential Caol Ila, bringing the creamy, maritime, and smoky notes that have made the distillery a favourite amongst whisky enthusiasts worldwide. The nose brings vegetal notes of green peppers and jalapenos, along with dried lemon peel, balanced by the aromas of vanilla and all enveloped in a layer of peat smoke. Flavours of barbeque, oyster shells and smoke on the palate complement a buttery texture.
