Customer Rating
A 16yo bottling from the AnCnoc distillery (formerly known as Knockdhu), bottled at a healthy 46% abv. We think this is one of the most under-rated malts out there - a bargain.

Having preferred the smoother Speyside whiskies i was tempted to try the AnCnoc 16yr and i have to say this is an excellent whisky. As the bottle says - hints of citrus with a smooth vanilla finish - this pretty much sums up this whisky. Not overly sweet, but definitely silky smooth. Looking forward to trying the 22yr and 35yr some time soon.

Must admit wasnt a fan of this when i bought it. However i have subsequently learnt that as the weather warms up (and its summer here in Australia) this An Cnoc comes into its own. Its a beautifully balanced, not too sweet hot weather dram - and makes a great apertif. Highly recommended but not for the cold weather sitting by the fire. Also benefits from a strongly tapered tulip glass.

stunning. much more complex and balanced than the 12. dangerous in that once open, I don't want to stop drinking

An excellent drinking whisky that does not get the attention it deserves. Not the most amazing malt ever. However, a great one that won't disappoint most anyone.

simply fantastic nose, so gentle, mellow and delicious, a bottle can disappear very quickly with Gary the beard around
