First time of trying, and it''s bloody lovely. I will stick with this rum from now on,it''s so smooth and tasty. I have tried many rums over the years and this is my personal favourite. Well worth a try if nothing else.

This is a fairly standard blended rum made from Guyanan rums, hence the "demerara" moniker. As a blended rum you''re not buying into the whole "single estate 15 years old" what-have-you. It''s kind of like how Grants is to whiskey. I happen to like this one and rate over other similar products like say Lamb''s. It''s coloured dark with caramel and has a classic dark rum flavour. It''s on the sweeter end of things. As per previous comments: lovely with coke or in your coffee. Recommended.

Just lovely. Too good to mix, just have it neat or with a cube of ice if it's a warm day.

Just got a bottle for Christmas haven't tried it yet. Normally I ONLY get Pussers Rum as my fav tipple so having seen reviews am looking forward to three fingers neat. Pussers can be up to 56 proof if you get the right bottles so 40 will always be less. Taste however is everything.

this was the rum that started it all for me growing up in scotland. OVD and coke fuelled many a crazy night out

getting hard to find, this one of the best rums on the market, and I've tried a few. wish more stores would sell it.

Oh how funny I didn't know it was a Scottish thing! I had never seen it before moving here, but now I buy it all the time.

The finest and most palatable rum you can buy. Personally I drink it 50/50 with coke, but its each to his own. It's utterly superb, and definitely one for the connoisseur

Very enjoyable neat, packed with treacle and burnt toffee flavours, slips down easily, belying its 40% a.b.v. A definite favourite of mine, for the price.
