Part of the Special Releases 2024, this 10-year-old Oban was matured in refill casks, before being finished in charred American oak barrels, seasoned with oloroso sherry. There is a lovely floral character to this coastal malt, followed by salted chocolate, baked apples, spiced stewed fruit, and sweet cinnamon.

    Like the past 4 releases in the diageo special edition Oban expressions, this dram offers a much higher proof sip which gives a much more potent profile then anything Oban’s normal lineup. The 2022 “Rabbit” release still reigns supreme. However, this years release goes back to basics with a great sherry finish and wonderful wood notes throughout the entire taste. Cheers!
