Tyrconnell was the flagship whiskey of the now-defunct Watts distillery in Derry, which dates to 1762, and closed in the 1920s. The brand, which was a huge seller in pre-Prohibition USA, laid dormant until the late 1980s, where it was bought by Cooley Distillery.
