Launched in 1987 as part of a diversification process led by William Grant & Sons' new product development team, the Auld Alliance blend was produced to commemorate the many years of exchange between Scotland and France (commonly known as the Auld Alliance). This is a marriage of Highland whisky and Armagnac from the eponymous region in the south of France.
