Dutch Whisky
With a history steeped in gin, genever and brandy production, the Dutch know a thing or two about distillation, so it comes as some surprise to find out that the first Dutch whisky was only bottled as recently as 2007 by Us Heit. Previously genever makers, the Zuidam family have since 1998 been making whisky with a distinctly Dutch twist, including small batch unpeated and peated single malts, a range of cask maturations and a punchy rye.
