Show Etiquette

By buying a ticket to The Whisky Exchange Tequila & Mezcal Show,   you agree to follow these guidelines designed to ensure the venue  is a fun and safe environment for all guests, staff and exhibitors.

Please also note that the legal drinking age in the UK is 18 and  the show organisers may ask for proof of ID from guests at their discretion.
No under 18s will be admitted, even if they are  accompanied by a parent or guardian.

DRINK RESPONSIBLY
The Whisky Exchange promotes responsible drinking during the show. We have a duty of care to all visitors and as such exhibitors will not serve anyone they believe to have consumed an excessive amount of  alcohol.

EAT WELL AND STAY HYDRATED
Visitors are strongly encouraged to eat before and during the show. Free drinking water will be available on all exhibitor stands and in easily-accessible locations throughout the venue. Please take regular breaks from tasting and drink plenty of water.

USE THE SPITTOONS
Spittoons will also be provided on all exhibitor stands and in visible locations on each floor to encourage responsible enjoyment of the show.

USE THE TASTING GLASSES PROVIDED
Exhibitors will only pour into the tasting glasses given to each guest on entering the show. All samples are to be consumed at the venue. It is not permitted to use bottles or other containers to take samples away from the show.

BE RESPECTFUL
Safety stewards will be on duty for the duration of the show. The stewards will ask anyone who is inebriated, becomes disruptive or behaves in an offensive or threatening manner to leave the venue. No readmittance will be granted to anyone who has been removed from the show and no refunds will be given.

Tequila & Mezcal Show is all about fine spirits, education and fun, not excess. These guidelines are in place to promote the safety and enjoyment of everyone in attendance and the organisers ask that you follow them for the duration of your visit.
