Customer Rating
This will cause a stir - a special one-off bottling of higher-strength Glenfiddich, created from both ex-bourbon & Oloroso casks aged 13-30 years old, sourced from warehouses whose rooves had collapsed on 7th January 2010 under the hundreds of tonnes of snow that had fallen in Speyside that winter. A great whisky with a genuine backstory and a terrific packaging job - we reckon this will become a cult malt.

Decent aperitif, uncomplicated, nicely balanced, light, fresh, fruity, a touch of oil creeps up in the finish (I like that), but the finish doesn't offer many surprises. 85/100...the Solera Reserve is still Glenfiddich's reigning champion expression.

more interesting when u dont know how much is left in your bottle, as you cant see through it, so when the bottle is finished you feel like wanting more :@

Just ordered 2 bottles, but surprising it's still available, so maybe not so rare? It's not cask-strength, however: "...with the strength brought to 47.6% abv by the addition of the distillery’s Robbie Dhu spring water", according to the Glenfiddich shop site.Still it's nice to have it non-chillfiltered. Is it also non-coloured? Anybody know?

Fantastic fiddich. Smooth, slightly oily, vanilla, honey and a hint of oak. Nice long finish. Class malt and you can taste the older malts. Tastes like a very expensive dram, don't store it, drink it!
