Bottle in 2010, making this dram 14 YO. An overall improvement is definite compared to the 12 YO expression, of course, finishing it in Amontillado sherry casks as well as 2 extra years of aging process seems to be solely responsible for this. Decent dram, certainly more interesting than its 12 YO sibling, with more vibrant notes, extra depth and complexity. More ambitious. However, it doesn't have much depth and what is inside the bottle doesn't justify its price tag.
Nose: Sherry, sultanas, raisins, green apples and honey dipped caramelized bananas. Basically a fruit coctail. Palate: Fruity notes persist. Vanilla honey, sweet and oily. A touch of wood-spice is also present. Finish: Medium. Lingering with sweet fruits and a touch of spice.
