Exceptional dram from a distiller who is fast becoming a favourite of mine. Nose is powerful, pungent and deeply rich. Fills the room with warm ''oak reek''. Taking a little onto the palate rewards with a boisterous & unruly phenolic punch, followed by lip-smackingly rich and luxurious oak notes. Finish is long and delicious. For such an alcoholic & young whisky I was expecting the 1st measure out the bottle to be tart but it''s not the case, is rich velvety & smooth. Of all the whiskies I have bought, this one ranks in my top 5 all time. Highly recommend this.
Lovely stuff. Just getting to the end of my second bottle. The whisky is soft and long, long, long for me, with the fruitiness developing a little later. Wait before taking a second sip to allow the fruits from the first sip to develop. Then enjoy the second sip even more. The third sip repeats the second, and the fourth, the third. And so on.....
