Rich barley sugars honey and liquorice coated in a sweat Smokey peat not as in your face as the big peaty islays but that's it's strength subtle lushness pure quality
I really enjoyed this whisky. I love the smokey islay whiskies so was interested to try this as Bunnahabhain doesnt usually produce peaty whisky. I was very impressed with this one. It's even good enough to say that this is one of my favourites. Nice balance in flavours. But one of my favourite things was the smell in the glass after I'd finished a dram. It immediately got me thinking of the scent from a stone cottage fireplace. A beautiful smell. This really is worth a try and at a very good price in my opinion for a whisky of this quality.
