Recommended by one of the guys in the shop on Bedford Street, just off the Strand when I said I liked a super-dry martini with very little vermouth and a small twist of lemon. (One of his colleagues in the shop said he made martinis with the vermouth on the other side of the room!) Followed my standard recipe (from James Salter’s Life Is Meals, where martinis are called “a silver bullet”, “a shot straight to the heart”, “a see-through”), and the result... Superb! Really, really clean but flavoursome. Right up there with my two current favourite martini gins - Crossbill and Rock Rose. Right up there and possibly just edging ahead. Thanks guys!! You know your stuff, so I’m also looking forward to the cognac you recommended!!
Shared it with friends to whom it was new! Absolutely delicious
It's a fantastic gin. One of the few I enjoy sipping on its own, perhaps with a little water. At first it's got a lovely sweet mix of flavours, almost like sweets, marshmallows, that kind of thing. It's very smooth and all this - it's really reasonably priced. Give it a go!
I''ve tried all three East London Gins and am super impressed with them all, though this is easily my favourite.
