Light Gold.
Nose
First impressions are of toasted vanilla and subtle hints of oak. Aromas of rich dried fruits and leather follow, laced with dark chocolate and blackberries.
Taste
A wonderful burst of spice hits the tongue combined with a refreshing lemony citrus tang. As the taste develops a rich caramel sweetness with traces of cinnamon comes to the fore.
Finish
The finish is smooth with soft oak and honey sweetness lingering gently on the tongue. The spice continues to tingle and dark chocolate flavours develop to give luxurious texture and a fitting finale to an elegant whisky.

Customer Reviews

A port finished scotch for a reasonable price? Count me in! Dried plums, apricots and peach, with some oak in the background. It tastes very young and definitely needs a drop or two of water to open up. Quite pleasant once you get past the harshness. You can definitely taste the port cask influence here.
I was quite hopeful. "Decent for the price" was what I'd come to expect based on the reviews. No significant nose to speak of. Thin body, overly sweet with not much else to offset it. Had two drinks, and poured it out. A waste, really, but I was rather disappointed. Your mileage may vary.
Solid for the price, but I don’t love the flavor. It’s peachy, kinda cheap. I’m sure this is better quality than Dewars White, but tastes similar.
Not too strong, oaky taste. Pleasant to drink.
Amazing for the price. I get it, sweeter-end whiskys are not for everyone, but I like it. Works very well as a dessert whisky too.
