Nose
Rum-soaked sultanas and raisins, with sweet notes of grilled banana and toffee.
Palate
Rich, sweet notes of toffee, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg, along with toasted almonds and dried fruit. Lovely velvety texture, and great balance.
Finish
Soft spices and toffee sweetness.
Comment
A real crowd-pleaser. Plenty of sweet spices, but still balanced and very easy to drink.

As far as XO dark rums go, it’s up there with the greats like Ron Zacapa, el’dorado and Appleton estate etc etc. Really happy to of found this again because it’s getting harder to find and most people wouldn’t of thought that Barcadi makes XO dark rums. There another that this reminds me of and it’s a really well known Cuban rum maker that does XO expressions that not many people tend to realise they do. No guesses what name it is..... 5 Stars easy no problem.......

I have to agree that this is possibly onenof the best sipping rums I have ever had. Very smooth and wonderful flavors. A bit sweet, but still wonderful.
