Nose
Rich dried fruits with dark chocolate and cranberries; a hint of toasty oak mingles with a baked nutty dryness.
Palate
A creamy richness with some honey and spiced notes emerging.
Finish
Smooth with a soft oak and honey sweetness lingering gently on the tongue.

Discovered this at the end of the Penderyn Masterclass tour (well worth it if you area whisky lover, really interesting and had about 11 free shots, hammered!) and it was the best dram of the day and had to go home with a bottle. My first portwood whisky, it is so different. Deep, sweet, rich flavours, a pleasure to drink, one of my favorite drams, a must try!
My favourite whiskey. I only live a few miles away and enjoy going to get my port wood. Just a shame it goes down way to fast.
Sweet,toffee and creamy. Little wood on the nose. The taste is also sweet and round. The portwood makes all the difference. It finishes is warming with some caramel and dark fruits.
Not my favourite whiskey from Penderyn!
