Nose
Bandages and sea spray, with vanilla-heavy custard tarts and lime peel. Smokiness builds, bringing barbecued meat and sweet peat. Underneath everything is a spicy mist of burning pine needles.
Palate
Rich and thick on the tongue. Sweet bacon, chocolate, lime and black pepper are wrapped in dark break and dusted with salt. Seaspray reemerges, floating above everything.
Finish
Mint and menthol with creamy touches that fade to leave salty buttered toast.
Comment
This was the whisky I was most looking forward to in the Special Releases 2018, and it didn't disappoint. Classic salt, pepper and smoke Talisker with a rich background.

Smashing whisky
You're missing out if you haven't had a chance to try this Tali. It's well balanced and amazingly rich in all senses. This is a bottle to enjoy on your own / private collection.
This whisky is absolutely lovely
I was a bit hesitant with it being 8rs only for the price but wow, the only thing I'm disappointed about is that's it's limited!
