Glenfiddich Fire and Cane

Experimental Series #04
- Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
- Distillery Bottling
Think you know peaty whisky? Think again. The fourth in Glenfiddich's much-admired Experimental Series is a marriage of their rarely-seen peated whisky with unpeated bourbon-aged single malt, all of which is finished in Latin rum casks.
The result is a surprisingly sweet and smoky dram that blends rich caramel and spice notes with fresh green fruit and soft pillowy smoke. A worthy continuation of the series that's very interesting to pair with different types of food – try it with spicy sausage or ice cream, for example.
Glenfiddich Fire and Cane Reviews
Tasting notes from the producerNose: Billowing soft peat notes, like distant smoke on the wind. Rich sweet toffee and zesty fresh fruit notes and spiciness.
Palate: Like a Highland peat campfire, with oak notes and toffee. Sharp green fruit, sweet baked apples and soft smoke.
Finish: Lingering smokiness and sweetness.

Exceptional. If it comes back in stock I will definitely buy again. A very diverse taste! This is not a classic speyside malt. I have NEVER tasted a Glenfiddich like this. Nose: Toasted oak, candied fruits and raw sugar Palate: Nice bright grassy peat up front balanced beautifully with green apples, honeysuckle and sweet vanilla oak Finish: Smooth long campfire embers with pepper and sweet cinnamon spice
