A traditional, 19th century French liqueur made with apricots, bitter almonds, cherry pit kernels and other botanicals for a fruity, nutty character. The palate is full of sweet stone-fruits and marzipan, and leads into a bitter, aromatic finish. The vivid garnet colour comes from the addition of cochineal, as directed by the original recipe.
