Delicious
A very basic, crude, entry level whiskey not justifying the current $35 price. It's just riding on the hype of the better Paul John offerings. Best to give it a miss and go for better scotch whiskeys. Nose - pungent, unpeated, mildly fruity Palate - mild burn with peppery notes Aftertaste - spicy
This is superb
I bought this whisky on a whim because I was curious about whisky from India. I tried it neat and neat with a few drops of water. This is a whisky that needs a few drops of water. It also needs to sit for a little while for the flavors to emerge. My initial impression was that the whisky wad a bit harsh. After letting it sit for about 30 minutes after adding a few drops of water it mellowed a bit. It started to taste similar to a 10 year old Tomintoul. There 10 year old Tomintoul is more mellow and complex. I like Tomintoul, but have a difficult time finding it where I live so this is a passable substitute. It is not bad for the $30 I paid for it. That said, I would not spend any more than $30 for it.
I had this and I tell you what, it is very smooth and a nice finish. Just like a Glenmorangie.
