First of all, price class should be the spectrum of juxtaposition. In NYC, paid 21 dollars for 3/4 liter. Similar .750 ml cost to Tito''s, Russian Standard, and Absolut. If you want taste neutrality, overall smoothness, and mix ability go with Tito''s. Stolichnaya has discernible viscosity when poured neat. It''s almost oily. Flavor wise, Stoli supersedes the 3 brands. Mixes better with OJ than Absolut. My star rating is relative to price class...

This is a very good vodka. I wouldn't spoil it with a mixer of any kind (far too good for that) just a few cubes of ice.

From what I understand this is still made from wheat grains from the Tambov region of Russia, and part distilled in the Russian distillery in Talvis. It is then that it gets shipped to a Latvian distillery for completion and bottling. So in essence it's still pretty much a russian vodka just with a bit of Latvian natural spring water added. Of course because of this for legal reasons they have removed the word Russian and replaced it with Premium on the bottles label. Still damn fine vodka.

This is no longer a Russian vodka because nowadays it's produced in Latvia. It's still a great vodka though. It has a very medicinal quality to it with citrus and vanilla notes. It's smooth too. Wll worth buying.
