This classic bottling was a cult favourite among whisky fans before its discontinuation in 2014. It remains a superb expression of Mortlach’s distillery character, packed with notes of Iberico ham, walnuts, dark malt, and well-aged sherry. Nosing this, it’s easy to see why esteemed whisky writer Dave Broom nicknamed Mortlach ‘The Beast of Dufftown’.

    I bought this product about 15 years ago when the price was much lower. It was by far the best tasting Scotch I ever had, and I have sampled many a Scotch whisky. Johnnie Walker Blue was my favorite at the time, but that is a blend. This 16-year-old Mortlach, Flora & Fauna is an excellent single malt. I haven't been able to find it here in the states. I have only found the 16-year-old Distillers Dram which is also quite good. As much as I like it, it is now too expensive to purchase over there and have it shipped over here. I used to purchase two bottles at a time back then.
