Aromas of venison jerky and porcini mushrooms jump from the glass and lead to dark chocolate, treacle, strawberry laces, salted toffee, and a rich, cherry reduction.

- Nose
  Rich dried fruit and nuts: dried cherries and raisins with hazelnuts, Brazil nuts, walnuts and almonds. The fruity notes build, with blackcurrant jam and ripe dates joined by figs and rum n' raisin fudge. Sticky port notes sit around the edges.
- Palate
  The fruit and nut vibes continue, with raisins almonds leading to intense blackcurrant, hints of black liquorice, charred oak, dark chocolate and mint. The leafiness continues before being hidden under a layer of fragrant tar and bittersweet molasses.
- Finish
  Damp leaves, forest floors and dark chocolate lead to buttered brown bread and soft spice.
