Glenlivet 50 Year Old / The Twelve Elements - Fire
Product Description

This 50-year-old Glenlivet was released as part of The Twelve Elements collection and is the only one of its kind. It was named Fire in homage to the malt kilns and small stills of the past, warmed by burning wood and coal, and to the flames used to char The Glenlivet’s casks before they are filled.

The single malt is a balance of first-fill and refill American oak, drawn from just two casks laid down in 1974 and selected by Chivas Brothers blenders Kevin Balmforth and Sandy Hyslop. The nose bursts with apricot, charred pineapple and soft baking spice, alongside marzipan and dark chocolate. Just twelve bottles have been drawn – each representing an element – making it the smallest release in the distillery’s history.
