Product Description

A world-first for Irish whiskey, pairing Midleton’s finest single pot still whiskies with sweet chestnut casks sustainably sourced from trees on the historic Cappoquin Estate in County Waterford. Already matured for between 12 and 19 years in American oak barrels, the whisky was then transferred to the sweet chestnut hogsheads to finish under the careful supervision of master distiller Kevin O'Gorman and maturation expert Eric Ryan.

After a further 4 years, we have the magnificent result: decadent honey, apple, chocolate fudge and woodland spices met by nuts, vanilla and a mild prickle of chilli oil, before a lasting finish fading out on the spice of the pot still and the chestnut wood.
