Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes

  • Tasting Notes by the Whisky Exchange

    • Nose

Fresh and vibrant with crunchy apples and pears, floral notes and gentle creaminess.

    • Palate

Richer than the nose suggests, with fruit, sweet pastry, custard and more floral notes.

    • Finish

Medium length, with the fruit slowly fading to leave soft spice.

  • Tasting Notes by Stuart P

    • Nose

Very fresh and vibrant. Clean, refreshing notes of Cox's apple and pear, with a gentle creaminess and some aromatic floral notes, too.

    • Palate

A touch richer on the palate than expected, but still soft and fruity, with some sweet pastry/custard-tart notes. Florality lifts the palate.

    • Finish

Very clean and measured, with the soft fruits gently receding.

Well this is a drum as it should be! Old fashion whiskey. No caramel and no chiled filtered. Plus 46 abv. Respect!! What else do we need! The taste is up to everyones opinion. But for me is nectar of the gods. Period.

It was a bit of nothing. During the quarantines I claimed this as my morning whiskey - that drink you need to be able to be all day with your kids without feeling like your wasting a good bottle

First impressions are that it has a very very fruity nose, apple Granny Smith cooker rather than an eater. The taste bears this out, very sharp and tart. I Personally did not find any sweetness at all. I think it will need a luttle more timè in the bottle to mellow a bit. I think it will hopefully be more a summertme refreshing drink rsther than a winter warmer.

Give time to breath (both in bottle and glass), other wise it’s quite sharp in the beginning.. Nose : golden raisin, under ripe banana, spices, grapefruits citrusy freshness Palate : light fruits, vanilla, spices kick in strongly at the back Finish : soft lingering medium finish... Wonderful 12yo
