Product Description
Black Tot is a modern interpretation of traditional naval rum, inspired by over 300 years of seafaring history. Instead of the heavy, dark style of the past, it brings a fresher profile to the table. Fruity and vibrant Barbadian rum forms the backbone, layered with rich, full-bodied spirit from Guyana and Trinidad, and a touch of funky Jamaican rum. The result is a bold yet balanced blend, combining tropical fruit notes with deeper hints of chocolate and coffee.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Billy Abbott, The Whisky Exchange
Nose
Thick and fruity, with pineapples, bananas and freshly-removed banana peel in a chamois leather bag. Golden syrup, brown sugar and funkily sweet sugar-cane juice peek out from behind the fruit, with a touch of polished oak following in their wake.
Palate
Rounded and rich, with butter toffee, banana cream and caramel to start. Gentle cinnamon and allspice build, with more fruit – baked apples, pineapple cubes and dried mango – joined by coffee, bittersweet dark chocolate and a grind of black pepper.
Finish
Chocolatey mocha coffee fades, leaving roasted bananas and a tingle of anise.
Comment
A tasty and versatile blend, showcasing my favourite bits of Barbadian, Guyanan and Jamaican rums – fruity, rich and funky.
Black Tot Style
Inspired by 300 years of Navy tradition, Black Tot holds Caribbean rum at its heart, using some of the finest examples from Barbados, Guyana and Jamaica to create a rum for today. Unhindered by convention, we have turned Navy rum on its head – replacing the singular, sweet styles of the past with a multi-faceted, unsweetened rum that focuses on flavour.

Barbados
Home to the oldest rum distillery in the world, Barbados is famous for its elegant and fruity rums that are perfect for both sipping and mixing.

Guyana
Guyana produces some of the world's finest sugarcane and intense, full-bodied rums that have been the cornerstone of Caribbean blends since the 18th century.

Jamaica
Heavier in style, pot-still Jamaican rum utilises longer fermentation times and proprietary yeasts to create its distinctively big, funky flavours.

Absolutely love this stuff, Im a big rum fan & was so looking forward to this. This is lip smackingly good, very moorish. The fact that it's non-chill filter & a higher strength gives this rum turbo charged quality. This is perfect for cold winter nights, being so dense yet full of flavour - there's a gorgeous tropical funk about it laced with a fruity lightish liquorice. An absolute joy! Personally I enjoy it neat with a dash of water.
