    Very very fine bourbon

  • Sean 1 August 2013

Yep - as I thought, a very nice Bourbon indeed. Lashings of caramel, fig, pepper and banana, with a very long finish. At £53, it's an excellent buy. It's no Pappy, but then it's not a Pappy price tag... If you like Blanton's Gold, or straight from the Barrel, then this will be in your happy list. Go on...give it a go.

I've only ever had the likes of Jack daniels etc prior to being bought a bottle of this for my birthday. And wow its in a totally different league. I don't know about anyone else but I was getting banana notes in the nose and a long toasted caramel finish.

Magnificent. Noahs Mill easily massacres many bourbons twice the price. I have tried so many boring, flaccid bourbons in the last 15 years. Its so refreshing to find a big ballsy, but eminently complex small batch. I love it. Big oak, light fruit, vanilla, even a touch of smoke. The Kentucky Bourbon Distilling Company deserves a medal.

Wow. Best bourbon for the money period.

  • Gene 2 December 2011

I was hesitant to write a good review, because I want it all for myself. If you like whiskey with a rich and complex flavor, this one is unmatched. Do not dare dilute it as all that does is cut the rich flavors and you'll miss the glory of the layered caramels, fruitiness, and then the smokey finish.

Simon: No - it's produced in small batches and diluted to 57.15%.
