A blended Irish whiskey, Clontarf Classic was originally a 100% grain whiskey from Cooley, but these days the product has a very small amount of malt in it, with the grain supplied by Irish Distillers (Jim Murray awarded it 86 points in his Whisky Bible).

Very smooth. Good with and without rocks.
yes, tried it.....better than most, including Cutty, Walker Red, Label 5 and several others. Great product for the price. Smooth and good flavor.
Compare to Jameison or other commercial whiskeys, this is far better. Buttery, smooth, light spice finish, simply very good.
Found this a rather rough, uncultured whiskey which I only managed to finish as a hot whiskey. It''s sold in Aldi''s in Ireland. Far better whiskeys for similar price out there.
