Product Description

The fourth release in Elixir Distillers' Rosebank Roses series, Grace is a combination of spirit distilled in both 1990 and 1991, matured in ex-Madeira casks and American oak barrels for 21 years. Sweet aromas of white chocolate, candied lemon peel and sugared almonds fill the nose, alongside creamy porridge, damp grass and spring flowers. The palate offers notes of richly spiced sponge cake, cinnamon-baked apples and poached pears, with hints of anise, polished oak and buttery toast.

- Nose
  Sweet and creamy, with white chocolate mice, candied lemon peel, lemon boiled sweets, toffee apples, sugared almonds and a hint of butterscotch. Porridge notes build: creamy bowls of oats liberally sprinkled with sultanas. Meadow notes develop: damp green grass, a touch of hay and fragrant spring flowers.
- Palate
  Weightier than the nose suggests, with almonds and Madeira-soaked sponge cake leading to spicy baked apples and poached pears. Toffee apples dance around the edges with a tingle of anise and elegant polished oak. The centre of the palate is focused on buttery grain notes, with sweet creaminess balanced by savoury toasted bread.
- Finish
  Creamy freshly-crushed barley lingers, fading to reveal minty hints.
