WhistlePig 12 Year Old Rye Whiskey is aged in three types of cask from the 'old world'. 63% is aged in Madeira casks, 30% in Sauternes and 7% in Port. The spicy rye combines perfectly with the sweet flavours from the casks.

A good rye, although not spectacular for the price - perhaps overhyped by association with the award winning whiskies in Whistlepig's range. I personally find the vinous aromas a touch strong

By far a solid hard rye, but it is not still' in the U.S., purchased from Canada and bottled at Whistlepig Farm.
