Tasting Notes
Tasting notes by Billy Abbott (The Whisky Exchange)
Nose
Bracken and soft gingerbread men lead, sweetness and rich earth follow. Wood smoke and farmyards hide at the back. A layer of nuttiness sits below and sweet cream floats above.
Palate
Earthiness, sweetness and a hint of smoke to start: sweet wood and damp peat. Chocolatey hints appear, along with spice and lemon zest. Things continue to darken, with more cocoa and a hint of muddiness, although with a sherbet tingle.
Finish
Floral notes and sherbet linger, finally giving way to candied lemon peel and earthy spice.
