12 Year Old Old Particular
- Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
- Douglas Laing
With a body and mouthfeel deserving of the moniker 'The Beast of Dufftown', though perhaps gentler in nature than the name suggests, this is a fresh and lively Mortlach full of sharp citrus notes, honey, spice and a hint of malty sweetness. More likely to lick your face than attack you, though still has a little bite at 48.4% ABV.
- Milk Chocolate
Mortlach 2005 Reviews
Nose: Lemon meringue pie alongside toasted nuts and a sweet, oaky character.
Palate: More citrus fruits and a thick, mouthcoating creaminess plus honey.
Finish: A gentle spiciness lingers with hints of pastry and milk chocolate.
