Aroma
Peat smoke opens to reveal notes of maple cured meat, toffee, and baked apples. Seaside grasses aromas linger and finish in a gentle briny edge.
Taste
Stewed fruits, sultanas, and currants with milk chocolate flabours combine with crème brulee. Sweet toffee is complemented by bursts of citrus and a smouldering bonfire ember edge.
Finish
Lingering oak slowly fades to reveal soft hints of citrus.

As ever with G&M bottlings, this is a well presented, quality whisky. This Ledaig is in the Smoky category of G&M's discovery series and it delivers sweet peaty smoke in abundance. However, it's not one dimensional: there's plenty of fruit, vanilla and citrus as well. All in all, a most enjoyable dram.
