@Davepat There is the 12 YO version of Hazelburn on this site which exactly delivers your wishes: it is richer and more buttery (round and oily). My suggestion would be enjoy the Hazelburn 8 YO as your daily dram and try the 12 YO version, which should make a collectors item.

I have been slowly working my way through a bottle of this and it is good, quite a surprise coming from where it does, - not reminsicent of Springbank but it really grows on you. It is warm, smooth shortbread. I hope an older version comes along that is a little richer and buttery, that will be fantastic. Should I have kept this unopened as a collectors item?
