Islay Trilogy 1969 Reviews
Bottler's Tasting NotesColour: Ripe Golden Barley
Body: As rich and strong in depth of character as the men that made it .
Nose: Eucalyptus, charcoal and a lush heathery peat smoke fill the nostrils followed by citrus and heather honey notes, the Islay coastal influence is as clear as if you were on Kilchoman beach yourself.
Palate: Immediately you are enveloped in a West Cast embrace - the smoothness is incredible, lingering long on the palate and warming you from the inside out. The signature flavours of smoke and charcoal are there but are so softened and rounded by age that this is more liquid gold than fire and brimstone.
Finish: A unique and exceptional dram – three malts that combine so harmoniously it is obvious that they are kin.
