Nose
Caramel and raisins through the middle, with orange pith, the beginnings of old rancio, and forest aromas of bark, earth and damp leaves.
Palate
Thick and sweet, with less complexity than the nose, zeroing in on brown sugar, stewed orange segments and lightly spiced syrup. A drop of water opened out the body a bit, softening the syrup hit and bringing out more fruit, with apples, apricots and blackcurrant leaves, as well as a bit more crunchy caramel sweetness.
Finish
Lingering spice and a soft citrus tang.

Dark amber-gold.
Nose
Intense, full of aromas – sherried fruit, tropical fruit, nutmeg and almonds with slight citrus notes at the end, all held together with a vanilla sweet smokiness.
Flavour
Full bodied rich and rounded develops slowly into fruity, smoky and spicy flavours.
Finish
Long-lasting, smooth a smoky with a chocolate feel at the back of your throat.
Comment
An incredibly rounded whisky that leaves you refreshed and contented. A whisky that always deserves a second glass. My personal favourite.

This is some amazingly well made whiskey and it tastes incredible. This is my first time experiencing a whiskey aged 21 years. I’ll definitely get more of this and I’m looking forward to trying the 25 year as well!
This is a wonderful dram and actually very good value for money for a 21 year old. It's not one that will please all the sherry cask lovers, but it is beautifully refined and sweet in a different way. A nice smooth easy drinking dram with lots of character. Sweet to the nose. Oak, malt, dried fruit and a hint of chocolate on first taste. As it goes on, the fruit notes come through with hints of dried fruit tastes to the palate. The finish is what makes it worth it. You are left with that sweet satisfying taste that makes you want more... Another outstanding dram from Glenfarclas. Can't wait to try the 25yo.

Utterly stunning
Really smooth, barley oaty taste with a hint of citrus & sweetness. I’m new to 21yr olds so not a lot to compare it to but loved it!
