The waxy and fruity Clynelish spirit pairs perfectly with the creamy vanilla notes gained through maturation in American oak. We selected this particular bourbon barrel from Signatory Vintage for its concentrated fruitiness, minerality, and balance of cask and distillery character. Expect white grapes, flat peaches, beeswax and vanilla before stones, chalk and a hint of candied pineapple. This Highland distillery is a perennial favourite here at The Whisky Exchange and this exclusive single cask demonstrates exactly why.

    • Nose

      Plums, Japanese pears, apricots, peach blossoms, dry Riesling and irises then a whole bag of sweets; jellybeans, gummy bears, apple Hi-Chews, white chocolate and cherry drops. Underneath there’s a sense of minerality like cement, chalk and rockpools, all very Clynelish.

    • Palate

      Flat peaches, white grapes, cooking apples, cake batter, sourdough, a little candied pineapple. Some propolis and beeswax, fennel, slivered almonds, light vanilla, powdered ginger, linseed oil, silver needle tea.

    • Finish

      Medium, mineral, light and elegant.
