Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes by Billy A
Nose
Icing sugar sweetness backed up by iodine and brine. Some black rubber, warm leather and gravelly minerality hide underneath the sweetness.
Palate
Sweet and syrupy, with candied ginger, hints of black rubber, light coal smoke, bitter charcoal, sweet apple and salted caramel.
Finish
Coal stoves and floral syrup. Lingering sweetness slowly develops into soft woodiness.

A big fan of the Quarter Cask and 10YO, this is also a superb whisky. It's not as 'definite' as the 10YO but it's a unique drink of it's own, a good one at that. Smooth, full of flavour and refined, a worthy and subtle Laphroaig.
Not exciting as a Laphroaig can be, passable, flavours are subdued, both on nose and palate.
A novice single malt drinker..this is the first Single I have tasted so don't have a reference for comparison.Found it light and pleasent .Quite smooth.
I'm a first year Whisky drinker, but I think this is great!
Nose: Peated,, typical Laffe smell, with additional spices Palate: Sweet oak, peat, vanilla, spices Finish: Vanilla, peatashes I recommend this on retail at taxfree or bordershops... It is in the same qualityrange as 10 year and Select. It is good stuff at the right price...
