Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes

  • Tasting Note by Stuart P

    • Nose

Boozy Dundee cake with spicy Maya Gold chocolate. Fruitiness comes through with the addition of water.

    • Palate

Intense chocolate notes – The River Café’s Chocolate Nemesis, with bags of dried fruit and spice. Very rich and mouth-filling, and definitely one for after dinner, or with pudding.

    • Finish

Rich and intense, with the spicy chocolate notes persisting.

  • Producer's Notes

    • Nose

Sweet but sharp sherry – a mix of fino and oloroso – with leathery touches, spiced fruit and sticky maraschino cherries.

    • Palate

Rich chocolate sauce, stewed plums, dark fruit cake and tingling spice – nutmeg, cinnamon and clove.

    • Finish

Sweet chocolate tempered by polished leather and oaky spice, with sweet fruit developing.
